Witches, Wizards, Sorceress, Mages and other creatures capable of controlling the Orn,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As promised, we\u2019ll show you the development process of one of our cards from Imperial Twing<\/a>. They stem of course from our gifted Imperial Illustrator Marius Dihr<\/a>. Today it\u2019s the Wolpertinger card. More details on the wolpertinger you\u2019ll find on our Homepage<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The different steps documented below show how through different adaptations the final card was developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

A first draft after longer research on the nature of a Wolpertinger. The basic layout of the card already exists. The border ornaments are indicated. Legends say that taxidermists invented the Wolpertinger. They combined different animal parts to curious creatures and then sold them as real anatomical preparations. Wolpertinger are therefore often hydride creatures composed from foxes, rabbits and ducks with wings and antlers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The ornaments are worked out in several steps and the necessary information are integrated into the card layout. The shape of the wolpertinger is specified further.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 3<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The teddy is hidden on the card. A possible border design for the Orn of Water is elaborated. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 4<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

For the final design the extant color gradients and unclarities between the color gradients are replaced with clear edges. The cards shall resemble old and give the impression being produced using old printing technics such wood- or linocut.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The current card border attracted the eye too much. Therefore, the original border ornaments are discarded and replaced with new ones. These are now in line with the designed back of the cards and the Imperial Vitruvian Teddy symbol created in the meanwhile. The background was adapted as well and shall represent the living environment of the creature in a most reduced way possible. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Last card information is integrated. The Wolpertinger has a Strength of one and can be used as a mount by other creatures. The card shows a Wolpertinger of the green Orn of Life.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
